Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Joe's RV Planner is operated by Joe Jackson Creative / You Build Forward out of Arvada, Colorado. We built this app to help RVers plan, budget, journal, and share road trips without unnecessary data collection. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, name, and authentication details when you sign up or log in.
• Trip data: trip names, destinations, stops, routes, budgets, checklists, and related planning details you enter.
• Journal and field notes: text entries, voice recordings, photos, and any AI-assisted rewrites you create.
• Maintenance records: service history, mileage, attachments, and reminders you add.
• Usage data: basic device and browser information needed to keep the app working, such as screen size, cached app state for offline use, and basic sharing actions such as link views, copies, and invitation acceptance. These sharing records do not include the private contents of your trip.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, sync, and improve Joe's RV Planner.
• To keep your trips, journals, and maintenance records available across devices.
• To power optional features like route maps, weather forecasts, and AI writing help.
• To communicate with you about your account or respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the app. They only receive the data necessary to perform their functions:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and serverless functions.
• Mapbox — map rendering, geocoding, and route visuals.
• OpenAI / Lovable AI Gateway — optional writing assistance for field notes, only when you explicitly request it.
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in provider.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference, and cache trip data for offline use. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete trips, journal entries, maintenance records, and uploaded files at any time. If you delete your account, your personal data and content will be removed from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal or technical retention requirements.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at joe@joejacksoncreative.com.

8. Children's privacy

Joe's RV Planner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
